A grand stretch in the evening..
……and it’s so welcome. I love that phrase, and at home when something is grand, we’re all at peace, happy with the general way of things and there’s a contentment in the air.
The Wheel Turns..
…and I think about changes in February. In recent years I’ve tapped into my own Cultural heritage (which is an eclectic mix) and I’ve felt a close affinity to ancient Irish/Celtic/Indigenous Irish traditions that follow seasonal changes.
Blue Monday?
I’m never so sure about this one…
Today is the Monday in January that was determined (in 2005) to be the gloomiest, most depressing day of the year. Gosh. If there was ever a way to literally suck the joy from life, this is a good start! ..but ..but…if you go outside there’s always a bit of magic.
Seasonal Reflections
Reflecting on things.. it’s a good time of year to look back as the seasons shift. I’m wondering who else has been feeling the pull to stay home, to cocoon and think of hibernating? There’s a slowing, and that’s good…we all need periods of hibernation. In a world that doesn’t want us to stop, we have to find ways to take time out.
I loved listening to The Ffern podcast yesterday..
Oakville Sunrise Inspiration
Sunrise has become part of my routine. Have you been to the lake here in Oakville to watch ?
All along the lake, we have public parks and walkways, places you can take it in, quietly and away from the sometimes-gaggle of people on the beach or at the pier.
