Homecomings
Experience the essence of homecoming through my latest work. In each piece, connect with the comfort associated with special places that we return to, both real and imagined. Safety and embrace converge to guide you in.
As I create my work, I intuitively build layers using varied tools and techniques, the canvas is worked on in many directions throughout each phase. I embrace the drips and the unexpected turns which guide the next steps.
My newest work continues to be based on the landscapes of my past and present - my own version of the homecoming experience. Chat with me at the Lingering Light show or read more about it on my blog, follow the stories as I share them on social media and read snippets about each piece when they are released for sale online.
The right art in your indoor spaces can be a sort of homecoming. When it’s just right, you’ll know.

Swanlight
Swanlight I, II & 3 are all inspired by my experience of travelling through Dublin International Airport. It’s a place of the first welcome and last goodbye for millions of people every year and has been a threshold of my own for 30 years.
Since 2017 one particular corridor, one of the airport art installations, has been a portal of sorts for me as I pass through it again and again. Bathed in light and inspired by a poem called Swanlight, by John O’Donohue, it has become a sacred place for me as place of transition connecting the places I call home.
